VFX Artist (Mid or Senior)

The ideal candidate for this technical role will have several years of experience in VFX post production. He/she will have an understanding of, and interest in, new trends and developments in the wider field of post-production processes and creative industries.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Plan, coordinate and lead projects from pre-production all the way through to final delivery
  • Work alongside project leads and creative supervisors to track and manage projects.
  • Help to maintain a positive, upbeat and professional atmosphere, while being proactive and solution-orientated
  • Lead, advise and train the Junior Production members of the team to ensure ongoing professional advancement.
  • Monitor and review project demands on creative artists and ensure that they have sufficient support staff and resources for each project.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of VFX software (Fusion, Nuke or After Effects)
  • Strong knowledge of conforming, editing, and delivery pipelines under Davinci Resolve
  • Strong knowledge of the CGI post-production pipeline
  • Strong knowledge of on-set VFX supervision
  • As a bonus : Proficiency in CGI software such as Houdini, Cinema4D
  • As a bonus : Proficiency in pathtracing renderers such as Redshift or Octane
  • As a bonus : Proficiency in color grading under Davinci Resolve

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6-7 years minimum experience as a VFX artist in a creative house
  • Very organized
  • Exemplary skills in making high-end photoreal and seamless VFX
  • Exemplary time/project management skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
  • Able to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to remain active and motivated in a slow-paced work environment
  • Able to lead a team towards a common goal
  • A developed taste and attraction for the creative industries (design, fashion, but more importantly the Services Généraux DNA)
  • A curious mindset, always thriving to learn and further enhance his/her abilities.
  • Flexibility and agility towards project management, production, and human relations
